This year’s Halstead Grant is bigger and better, with an increased $7500 cash prize for the winner, signature trophy and a feature in the new, annual grant publication. Plus, for the first time ever, 10 finalists will be awarded cash prizes.
The 2016 Halstead Grant Winner will also receive $1000 in supplies; a trip to Prescott, Arizona; feature profile and jewelry showcase in the Halstead print catalog; extensive coverage on the Halstead website and social media channels; press release to industry and local media; and a feedback report from the judging committee.
New for 2016, Halstead Grant Finalists will receive $500 cash for Top 5 placement or $250 for Top 10 placement. Finalist awards also include: Coverage in the new annual grant publication; blog profile; media exposure; press release assistance; and a feedback report from the judging committee.
2013 Halstead Grant winner Rebecca Rose designed this year’s signature trophy, which will also be awarded to the winner and finalists.
Cathleen McCarthy, founder of TheJewelryLoupe.com, is this year’s guest judge. Cathleen will assist in reviewing applicants’ jewelry designs and business strategies.
